Tiana isn’t the only one making noise during the show’s hiatus. Yahoo reports that Taraji P. Henson recently posted a photo via Instagram that led to some drama. The image was posted to celebrate black beauty. At least one commentator expressed their displeasure with the image leading Henson to transform into Cookie Lyon.

The Empire star clapped back. Henson made it clear that she wasn’t having it, explaining that celebrating her black beauty does not make her a racist. Similar to Cookie, Taraji made us laugh by starting the her response with #ShutUpDora.
Once again, Henson proves that she is untouchable. There’s no teaching instinct and she knows exactly how to carry herself on social media. The same is true for her co-stars. While some entertainers struggle to engage with their fans, Empire’s cast members continue to maintain strong bonds with their community of supporters.
