can look like a variety of things and still be from the same culture,” Gealey
explained. “What I’m saying is that I’ve never felt like I was a light-skinned
Black woman. Never felt that way because we shared the same culture back home.”After graduating from USF Gealey obtained her M.F.A. in Acting from the University of California, Irvine. Upon graduating, Gealey moved to New York City where she performed Off-Broady. Gealey then moved to Chicago where she played in numerous short films and national commercials.
