50 Cent Reponds to Cookie’s Jab on Last Night’s ‘Empire’
50 Cent Reponds to Cookie’s Jab on Last Night’s ‘Empire’
Diss 50 Cent and he will always have a reply for it. One of the best moments during last night’s Empire season premiere was Cookie denouncing 50 as “thirsty” for coming at Empire records on Instagram yet again—a meta reference to the rapper’s constant disparaging remarks against the series irl, in response to TV viewers’ somewhat bemusing tendency to compare and contrast Empire and 50’s own drama series Power. (Both have predominantly black casts and a lead who leads a cushy rich life after previously moving weight, and that’s where the similarities end tbh.) News of the mention traveled fast to Curtis, who wasted no time firing back overnight in his favorite manner: direct, half-serious and half-comical, and via Instagram video. “I can’t believe Cookie would say some shit like that about me. Thirsty? Me, thirsty?” Then later, he says “Me and Cookie go way back, you know I hit that.” Whhhaaaaat? Is 50 alluding to Taraji P. Henson? Is he just being a goofball? Or is this an elaborate set-up for a 50 Cent on Empire guest spot where he plays himself and he and Cookie have history together? When it comes to 50, it could honestly go either way. (But judging from the emojis, the ‘LMAO’ in the caption and @’ing Taraji, it’s probably just him being a goofball.) The Mindy Project season 4 is out now exclusively on Hulu! Head over to http://hulu.tv/1O9yVlt to tune-in! A special Thank you goes out to The Mindy Project on HULU for sponsoring this episode of News Feed. Weirdedst Celeb Hairstyles ►► https://youtu.be/zjBQKAtQS4E More Celebrity News ►► http://bit.ly/SubClevverNews Jimmy Fallon dares to spoof TV’s biggest season premiere this week… and the twist was even better than Empire’s. The Tonight Show parody of Empire was spot on! Complete with cameos by Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, and the biggest embarrassment to America since KUWTK- Donald Trump. Clearly, Jimmy was as excited about Empire’s return as we were because he deserves an Oscar for his ‘Jimpire’ performance. Jimmy channels his inner Luscious as he tries to decide who should be heir to his show if something were to happen to him. He warns that ANYTHING could happen to him. What if he burns the roof of his mouth eating a hot microwaved pizza. Oh god, Jimmy- don’t go there. So he tells them he needs to choose someone with whom to entrust his legacy. His options included Questlove, drummer of The Roots, Tariq of the same band, and Fallon’s “business-savvy-yet-moody show producer,” Andre. But then a fourth option shows up: Steve Higgins, now known as “Higgy” clearly inspired by Cookie. He gets Questlove and Tariq to combine efforts on a rap that leaves us all impressed proving that he deserves 50 percent of the biz. But Jimmy has other thoughts… Oh God what’s the secret?! We’ll find out soon but after Jimmy calls Higgy an ass, he says, “I’m not an ass. THIS is an ass!” flashing those gorgeous cheeks of his. Later, Terrence Howard makes a cameo, warning Jimmy not to spoof Empire. Then Questlove reveals his big secret he was hiding… He’s bald! Then Cookie shows up and puts Higgy in his place. But the finale is the best. Because everything is more ridiculous when you add Donald Trump to the mix. So did you love the twist ending? How awesome was Jimmy’s take on Luscious?! Petey Pablo Talks To The Breakfast Club About How He Got His Role In Empire – The Breakfast Club
Petey Pablo Talks To The Breakfast Club About How He Got His Role In Empire – The Breakfast Club
Petey Pablo, best known for his 2004 song “Freak-A-Leak” made a surprise guest appearance on the second episode of Empire this season as one of Lucious Lyon’s prison buddies, Clyde. He helped the imprisoned superstar record the episode’s, uh, standout track, “Snitch Bitch.” It turns out that Pablo got the chance to appear on the hit show because he had lent Terrence Howard $200 back in 2004. In an interview with Raleigh news station WRAL, Pablo explained that Howard had lost his wallet at the premiere party for the film Hustle & Flow, and Pablo loaned him some scratch. Now, more than 10 years later, Howard repaid him with a decent-sized role and a $15,000 paycheck. Pablo also reportedly wrote four songs for the season two soundtrack, including his magnum opus, “Snitch Bitch.” http://ift.tt/PYhcCa The breakfast club The breakfast club The breakfast club The breakfast club Power 105.1 Power 105.1 Power 105.1 Power 105.1 -
50 Cent Days TV Show ‘Empire’ Lost 3m Viewers Over ‘Gay Stuff’ – The Breakfast Club [Full]
50 Cent Days TV Show ‘Empire’ Lost 3m Viewers Over ‘Gay Stuff’ – The Breakfast Club [Full]
There’s no doubt that Empire has been a success story for Fox. The show has been a ratings juggernaut for the network, and for an entire season, the show continued to show increases in overall viewership on the night the show aired. However, over the course of its Season 2 return, those numbers have dropped a wee bit. Many believe the surge in ratings each week was not sustainable over the long haul, but 50 Cent believes there’s another reason the numbers have dropped a bit: There’s too much gay stuff. In an Instagram post that was later deleted, 50 Cent laughed at a post talking about how 3 million less viewers tuned in for this week’s episode, a post that also noted that the “extra gay stuff” likely turned viewers off. http://ift.tt/PYhcCa The breakfast club The breakfast club The breakfast club The breakfast club Power 105.1 Power 105.1 Power 105.1 Power 105.1 -
