Oh boy, oh boy. Things are getting good on Empire Season 2. Anika’s carrying the Lyon heir, Lucious is a straight up liar about his mom — or did he think his mom killed herself in an alternate reality? He could have more in common with Andre than he thinks. So, let’s see what’s in store for this week.

Oh boy, Lucious is back to his dirty tricks. This time, he’s sabotaging Jamal’s ASA chances.
Hakeem tells Laura that he got Anika pregnant. Uh oh. Laura does not look happy – she slaps him!
Rhonda looks all cheered up now that Hakeem and Jamal are no longer CEO material, leaving Andre as the sole Lyon son left to take over.
Lucious looks like he’s got the hots for that reporter. And Cookie’s not having it.
The Lyon sons suspect Cookie wants back with Lucious. Hakeem: “Hell no, I’m not getting King Kong and Godzilla back together.”
Then an ambulance arrives for Anika! She gets carried away on a stretcher. Could she have been pushed off a staircase, too? Is someone out to get rid of all the Lyon heirs?
Fox teases that a “LYON WILL FALL.” But I think that’s open to interpretation. Will Cookie fall for Lucious? Did Anika fall down stairs? Will someone die?
Then there’s a shot of a glamorous room, a gunshot blares and the room clears. Interesting. Could it be the ASA awards? Will something go down there and that’s where the Lyon will fall?

TMZ reports that Andy Cohen took a stand for his friend Kelly Ripa by calling out Michael Strahan. Cohen explains that Mike should have considered how many hosts he would have to compete with on Good Morning America. On Live! With Kelly and Michael, Strahan was receiving much more spotlight than he will receive on GMA.

It’s been quite a while since I could crank one out due to school and daily life but can we say Empire is winning and bringing it strong!
There’s so much we can discuss but I’m going to try to narrow it down to some key things we all are talking about.
First of all let’s talk about what I take the most serious and a situation that’s dear to my heart which is the continued discussion and presentation of mental health and illness which is channeled through Andre Lyon’s character and how Empire is continuing to show many the facts of how genetics and mental health can sometimes go hand in hand.

I felt so moved in my spirit and personally went on the Empire fan page on Facebook to thank the writers, I know for a fact that as this story line continues and a voice in Andre is given that there will be continued discussion’s among families and friends, I pray and envision those who may be suffering with mental illness especially adults and those who look so “happy and normal” can see a piece of themselves expressed in Andre and have that family discussion or have the courage to speak to someone; as I am someone who has suffered with and managed depression as well as anxiety most of my life I can say having support of loved ones and true, professional and spiritual guidance is everything in managing and recovering to live a healthy life, No matter what there’s always light at the end end of the tunnel!
While we are speaking on mental health and spiritually thriving I want to take out this time to honor and give mad respect to Jussie Smollett and Estelle for their duet of Conqueror last year!

I want to give that shout out because I personally was literally so low emotionally the night before watching that episode and God used and has continued to use that song to encourage me and get me through, It pushed me to not give up on getting into college and I have read so many comments online about people battling cancer and finding encouragement, Having courage to keep pressing on after losing a loved one and I can remember reading a comment or two including a women’s on YouTube about how she had plans to commit suicide that same night after watching Empire but that song changed her mind and her outlook so hopefully Jussie will see this article one day or those comments!

Taraji P. Henson’s former boo, Michael Strahan, is leaving Live! With Kelly and Michael. The former NFL star is joining Good Morning America.
Why Is Michael Strahan Going To GMA?
Daily Mail reports that Andy Cohen believes Strahan is making a big mistake by leaving Live! considering the fact he has a major role on the show. Cohen explained that Strahan’s name is in the title of Live! and he had the opportunity to spend his entire career there.
According to Access Hollywood, Strahan was not thrilled to work with Live’s executive producer Michael Gelman. There were rumors that Kelly Ripa was the reason he was leaving the show yet those rumors were false.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Kelly Ripa will return to the show on Tuesday. Ripa was upset that she was not warned about Mike’s departure. Ripa sent an email explaining her plans to return after she refused to appear alongside Mike. She explained that she needed time to process the transition.
Another reason the former New York Giant decided to leave is the raise he’ll receive by joining GMA. He’ll get $20 million per year. On Live! he was making about $10 million per year. Kelly Ripa currently makes $20 million per year so he’ll be bumped up to her tax bracket…The best revenge is your paper!
