Nova, Queen Sugar

Queen Sugar‘s Nova Bordelon, is played by actress Rutina Wesley. In episode 12 of the show’s first season, “Far Too Long” we see Nova comfort Too Sweet as he continues to struggle the aftermath of the time he spent in jail. The episode starts with him panicking after having a horrible nightmare. She tries to get his trial date but she finds out that the New Orleans court system is an absolute mess.

Later in the episode, Nova has a panel discussion with Melissa Harris-Perry. Officer Calvin attends the event and the love birds share an intimate stare. He calls her after to let her know that he got Too Sweet’s charges dismissed due to insufficient evidence. He tells Nova he loves and that he left his wife.

Rutina was born on February 1, 1979 and is currently 37-years-old. She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. Acting came naturally, her father is a tap dancer while her mother worked as a showgirl. Rutina attended the Las Vegas Academy, a magnet high school located in Downtown Las Vegas.

Wesley isn’t the only talented actor that attended the Las Vegas Academy. Singer, Ne-Yo attended the academy along with Julianne Hough from Dancing With The Stars.

While Vince Carter’s 360 Windmill was amazing, Zach’s 360 from the free throw line is more impressive. Vince dunks with more flavor than Zach but LaVine’s dunk was more difficult than Carter’s.

How long have Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir been together? The couple began dating in 2010 and have been together for 6 years. The relationship hasn’t been easy. The rapper has spent a substantial amount of time in prison since he’s been Keyshia. She has been by his side through his difficult times, leading Gucci to propose.

Many believed that the couple’s relationship was over in 2013 when Gucci and Yo Gotti began beefing over Ka’oir. Is Taye Diggs gay? The actor’s recent tweets to NBA basketball player, Stephen Curry left many people questioning his sexual preference. Twitter user, @Con_Chron shared a tweet revealing Curry’s comments about how his teammate, Klay Thompson got his groove back. Steph mentioned Diggs’ 1998 romantic comedy film, How Stella Got Her Groove Back in his response.

In response to the question, Curry explained that Thompson got his groove back the same way Stella did. Taye Diggs has been making his media rounds lately and he wasn’t about to let this opportunity, for some additional attention, pass him by.

In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone Minaj reveals that she had an abortion as a teenager. Many fans believe that she hasn’t released new material because she took some time off to give birth yet that is not true.

Minaj has been dealing with serious family issues lately. Her brother, Jelani Maraj, was offered a plea deal of 15 years to life in his rape case. It can be difficult to focus on your career when your family is experiencing hard times.
