    Decoding The Super Bowl ‘Empire’ Teaser Trailer

    During the Super Bowl, there were tons of expensive and awesome commercials, but Fox also finally gave us all a glimpse of the trailer for the new episodes of Empire, premiering in March. And boy oh boy, it looks like a lot of drama is on the horizon for the Lyons.

    Check out the trailer below and then let’s get decoding.

    • The trailer features the ’90s classic song “What is Love?” by Haddaway. The rest of the refain includes “baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me no more.” Could this indicate that the Lyons will face more betrayal? And the fact that this is a ’90s song tells me that the tension is most likely between Cookie and Lucious, because they have always had a bond influenced by old school music.
    • COOKIE HAS A BAT. Oh man. And it looks like she’s using it on Lucious. What did he do this time? And how did she get that bat? She is wielding all over the place, much like Kalinda on The Good Wife used to do.
    • Lucious is on the ground, surrounded by broken glass. Is this indicative that this time around, he’s defeated and Cookie will be calling the shots/be victorious? Lucious does eventually get up, but he is stumbling.
    •  THE FLASHBACKS. It looks like those will be back, too.
    • “None of this would exist without me,” Cookie screams. “You built this company on my back.” Cookie means business this time around.
    • And then Cookie and Lucious kiss. Say what?!

    Did Chris Brown get a weave? A few short months ago the singer’s hair was short.  The pic below shows that Brown now has braids.  His hair couldn’t have grown that fast.  Many believe the singer pulled a Fetty Wap and got a weave.  While Fetty Wap got clowned for getting a weave, Chris’ fans don’t mind his new hairstyle.

    The hype surrounding the Chris Brown v. Soulja Boy fight has calmed down.  Chris is finally focusing on his music.  He recently announced that he’s building a home studio.  The decision should help him complete his album, Heartbreak On A Full Moon.  He’ll also be able to stay out of trouble unless he has another one of those house parties.

    Brown recently teamed up with Jeremih and Big Sean for the amazing song, “I Think Of You.” The track features a classic Montell Jordan sample, “Get It On Tonite.”

    K. Michelle revealed that she’s been working on new music with Chris:

    I was surprised to find out about a Chris Brown, K. Michelle collaboration.  K. Michelle has claimed that Memphitz abused her when they were together.  We all remember Chris Brown abusing Rihanna.  Both incidents occurred years ago and it’s time to move on.

    Dutchess new boyfriend, Zack Sanchez, plays for the Carolina Panthers.  The #BlackInkCrew star met Sanchez through an ex-boyfriend.  Dutchess broke up with Ceaser a few months ago and moved on quickly.  The Instagram pic below shows Dutchess’ ex-boyfriend reveal that he was in a relationship with her since June 2016.

    Black Ink Crew proves that good help is hard to find.  Dutchess moved to New York to help run the shop but then she reconsidered her decision.  Black Ink is too much for Dutchess to handle.  An episode later, she returned to North Carolina.

    The pic above shows Dutchess new man, Zack Sanchez.  He was born on October 11, 1993 and is currently 23-years-old.  He’s from Texas and attended Central High School.  Sanchez then took his talent to the University of Oklahoma.  In 2016, the talented cornerback was drafted by the Carolina Panthers.

    Dutchess has enough drama for her own reality show! We know how much VH1 loves spinoffs.  If she keeps this up, she’ll have her own series soon.  I still can’t believe that her and Ceaser split up.

    In episode 5 of Black Ink Crew‘s fifth season, “Serving Wedding Realness” we see Sky discuss her family.  This article presents information about Sky’s mother and her sons.  The episode starts with Sky fighting Tiffany.  Sky had to get stitches after the altercation.  According to Sky, she hit her head on the shop’s door.

    Ceaser calls Sky out for fighting Tiffany and Sky breaks down.  Sky explains that her children are not in her life so her mother is the only member of her family that she has a relationship with.  Sky’s mother is struggling with bipolar disorder and she’s currently missing.

    Sky hasn’t spoken to her mother in months and she’s not on her medication.  Ceaser offers to help Sky find her mother.  He has known Sky for a long time and says that he has seen this behavior from her before.

    When Sky was 14-years-old, she gave birth to two sons that she had to give up for adoption.  Sky explains that she chose to give them up because she couldn’t provide for them.  She knows how being abandoned feels.

    If she would have established a relationship with her boys she would have done more harm than good.  Sky wouldn’t have been able to afford to provide for her sons so she would have eventually been forced to give them up.

    The tweet above gives Ceaser credit for helping Sky out.  Sky has a unique personality and Ceaser is about his business.  Ceaser was still willing to drive around the Bronx to look for Sky’s mother.

    Who Died On Star? Jasmine Burke

    Who died on Star? Jasmine’s Burke’s character, Danielle Jackson died in the “Infamous” episode of the series.  Gladys Knight speaks at Danielle’s funeral in episode 7, “Black Wherever I Go.” Scroll to the end of the article to hear Gladys’ emotional speech.  Danielle was Carlotta’s neighbor.  A police officer shot and killed her during a traffic stop.

    In the Instagram post below, Jasmine compares Danielle to Sandra Bland.  Like Empire, Star tackles police brutality.  On July 13, 2015, Bland was found hanged in her jail cell.  She was pulled over three days earlier by a state trooper in Hempstead, Texas.  Last year, the officer who pulled her over was fired.

    The police officer, Brian Encinia, pulled Bland over for an improper lane change.  Bland was arrested after she assaulted Encinia.  The incident was recorded by the officer’s dashcam.  He was impatient with Bland and extended her detention without a reason to do so.

    Kelly Price sang at Danielle’s funeral.  I cried throughout her entire performance.  Price has a beautiful voice.  Lee Daniels has the confidence to examine controversial issues in his projects.  In Empire, Andre Lyon was moving out his house when he experienced police brutality.

    Future and his baby mama, Brittni Mealy are making headlines.  According to multiple media outlets, they got “spiritually married.” Future hasn’t commented on the rumor but the tweet below shows Brittni’s response.  She explains that she’s not engaged.  The rumor arose after Brittni was spotted wearing a new wedding band.

    Rapper, Future, has a baby on the way and a new baby mama.  He was recently spotted with Brittni Mealy, one of his five baby mamas.  Brittni’s not pregnant.  This time it’s Instagram user @Stacy8629.  Last year, she left comments on Brittni’s page, letting her know that Future is community property.

    In a few months, Future and Ciara’s son, “Baby Future” won’t be the “baby” anymore.  He’ll soon have two younger siblings.

    Last month, Ciara and her husband, Russell Wilson, revealed that they are expecting their first child together.  The baby will be Ciara’s second bundle of joy and Wilson’s first.

    Baby Future has plenty older siblings thanks to his father.  The image below shows Brittni with Ciara and Future’s other two baby mamas, India and Jessica:

    The above pic was taken before Future and Ciara’s drama.  Hopefully they’ll be able to maintain a respectful relationship and work together as coparents.  It takes a village to raise a child therefore Future shouldn’t have any problems with the bond his son is building with his stepfather.

    Baby Future’s new siblings could be born on the same day! The 2-year-old will be a great big brother.  He’s been raised by some of the most talented people in the world so he’s destined for success!

    The Soulja Boy baby rumors are back.  The rapper is a marketing genius.  The 26-year-old rapper doesn’t like when he’s not in the news.  He doesn’t release new music instead he creates fake news.  He posted a fake sonogram and then posted a video, explaining what happened.  The rapper learned a thing or two during his time on Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.

    Who is Soulja Boy having a baby with? As explained above, the rapper isn’t expecting a baby.  The last woman Soulja Boy dated was Brittish Williams.  While the rapper makes some horrible decisions, we have to give him credit for not having multiple baby mamas.

    Nia Riley

    Nia Riley was the last serious relationship Soulja Boy was in.  He loved her and almost got himself locked up for threatening her.  Their inability to get along led to Soulja Boy’s departure from Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.

    Soulja Boy’s marketing strategy may seem effective but there are some people that are tired of it.

    The rapper built his career by annoying people.  In a recent interview, Soulja Boy explains how he used Limewire to gain his initial fame.  He uploaded his music under false titles.  The rapper used the titles of the songs on the Billboard list to force people to listen to his music.

    Danielle has an online store, a mural and the we can’t stop creating memes about her.  The Internet has received negative press lately because of fake news.  While social media’s fake news problem must be resolved, ‘Cash Me Ousside’ reminds us that anything is possible now that we’re all connected, real-time.

    A Stevie J look alike was spotted in a video clip and now people are saying the reality star is gay.  Don’t believe the lies.  Stevie J is not gay or bisexual.  This isn’t the first time we’ve heard these rumors.  His “wife” Joseline Hernandez started spreading lies about his sexual preference a few years back.

    We now know that Joseline is not a trustworthy person.  Hernandez lied to Mimi Faust about Promise B. Mae in the last season of Love And Hip Hop Atlanta.  Joseline aka Shenellica Bettencourt, acted immature by bragging about the lie.  She also lied about Stevie molesting his daughter.  There’s nothing she won’t do for attention.

    The rumors about Wale being gay are false.  A user on Instagram is spreading a lie about the rapper’s sexual preference.  The user posted a picture of a person that resembles Wale as proof that the rapper was gay.  Last year, Wale and his daughter, Chloe Alexis, welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Zyla Moon Oluwakemi.

    The rapper, whose real name is Olubowale Akintimehin, teamed up with Lil Wayne for his new single, “Running Back.” Scroll to the end of this article to see the video for the track.  Wale also released a visual for his song “Groundhog Day”, his response to J. Cole’s track, “False Prophets.”
