    Trump advisor and alternative facts purveyor Kellyanne Conway was in the Oval Office when President Trump hosted academic leaders from historical black colleges. Look at the her.  Her feet are on the sofa. This is the Oval Office! This isn’t some couch in a frat house! Who puts their feet up on someone else’s couch? It’s not polite to say the least.

    The second aspect would be she is pre-occupied with her phone. It ruins the mood of the photo in a 
    way. You have all these distinguished African American leaders from academia. Yet, in the photo and off to the left side is Ms. Conway playing Angry Birds or checking her email or whatever she was doing. It shows a flippant disregard for the black community on behalf of one of Trump’s key advisors.

    The black community did not vote for Trump. However, Trump has been doing extensive outreach to the black community. Consider, when he went into inner cities and asked minorities to vote for him saying “what the hell do you have to lose?” and telling them to consider that they have been voting Democrat for years and it hasn’t added to their social mobility. 
    Time will tell if Conway is still working in the White House in a few years.

    Since Beyonce is not
    performing at Coachella because of being pregnant with twins, Lady Gaga will be
    replacing her on both Saturday’s of April 15 and April 22. Officials for
    Coachella are making the final arrangements to bring Gaga’s huge stage to the
    Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. Announcements will be made after
    everything is finalized in the coming days, according to officials.

    of Lady Gaga replacing Beyonce comes just 5 days after Beyonce’s reps made the
    announcement to AEG’s Goldenvoice that she will not be able to perform since her doctor has ordered her to take it easy
    because she is pregnant with twins.
    Although Beyonce will
    not be able to perform this year, she will perform in 2018, however. Lady Gaga
    is adding the double slot to her already busy schedule since she is already in
    the middle of her 2017 tour. Lady Gaga’s Joanne World Tour begins on Aug. 1.
    Her 2017 World Tour
    starts at Roger’s Arena in Vancouver, BC. The tour includes three nights at the
    forum in L.A and then continues to Wrigley Field in Chicago, Citi Field in New
    York, and Fenway Park in Boston.

    What Happened To Kodak Black?
    Rapper Kodak Black is back in police custody. Records show he violated probation for charges stemming from a May arrest that include strong arm robbery, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm by a delinquent and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement. He is currently being held at Broward County Jail without bond. According to the warrant for his arrest, Kodak violated probation by “failing to remain confined to his approved residence except for one half hour before and after approved employment, public service work, or any other special activities approved by the officer on various times and dates, as evidenced from the pictures on video showing the offender at various places that were not approved.”
    Kodak has had legal troubles before. He was arrested in 2015 for possession of a weapon and weed among other charges. He had a similar charge in 2016 in Florida. Recently, the Miami new times asked “is he the product of larger societal problems, having been raised on a steady diet of misogynistic rap lyrics?”
    It is a fair and tough question. Should rap music be about something bigger than merely living the bling bling gangsta rap lifestyle? Should rap dare to tackle societal issues especially in our current age of Trump?

  • What Did Kodak Black Go To Jail For? Locked Up Again 2017

    What did Kodak Black got back to jail for? He showed up for court for a probation hearing and his Probation Officer told the judge that the rapper violated his probation.  Hours before he showed up in court, Kodak Black posted several Instagram updates.  The Instagram post below shows the 19-year-old listening to Biggie Small’s “Juicy” while on his way to court.

    The image below shows one of Kodak Black’s older mugshots alongside his most recent mugshot.  The rapper, whose real name is Dieuson Octave has been acting the fool.  He has an open rape change in South Carolina yet he has shared a video showing him and his friends having sex with a girl.

    The rapper violated “community control” which is the same as violating probation in Florida.  Kodak Black has not changed.  To avoid jail time he agreed to spend five years on probation.  Less than a year later, he’s violated his probation and he’s back in jail.

    Kodak should have focused on making music.  This would have convinced his probation officer that he deserved to be free.

    Instead of focusing on his music, Kodak decided to start beefing with rapper, Lil Wayne.  The New Orleans rapper has been in legal trouble and was too smart to respond to Kodak.  Young Money picks their battles strategically.  Nicki Minaj hasn’t responded to Remy Ma’s diss track, “sHETHER.” Remy Ma spent time in jail for shooting someone therefore Nicki made the right decision.

     

  • Brandon Martin – The Voice

    Brandon Martin performed on The Voice‘s season 12 premiere episode.  The 25-year-old is from Kentucky.  With a beard like The Voice‘s season 11 winner, Sundance Head, many believed Brandon would advance.  Sadly, none of the coaches select the country singer.  Scroll down to see Twitter’s reaction.

    Martin lives in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.  His interview proves that he’s a country boy.  It shows him on a trailer working on his family’s farm.  His hometown, Owingsville, Kentucky, is very small.  The city has less than 2000 people and two stop lights.  Brandon explains that only one of the stop lights actually functions.

    We meet Brandon’s father, Ronnie.  He explains that he bought Brandon his first guitar when he was 14-years-old.  Martin has the ability to hear a song on the radio and then play it without any practice.

    Brandon tried trade school after graduating high school but he had to quit and get a job.  Brandon reveals that his ideal coach would be Blake Shelton.

    The tweet above explains that the judges missed out on Brandon.  Blake tells the singer that he’s sharp at the end of his phrases.
