    Ja Rule Fyre Festival Scam Statement

    Today was marked as one of the biggest fails in music history. Ja Rule and tech entrepreneur Billy McFarland worked very hard to get Instagram models–oops I meant “social influencers” to promote a luxurious Bahamian getaway that was slated to include a lineup of acts like Migos, Blink 182, and Tyga. Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajowski, and Elsa Hosk all backed the event that was supposed to be the next Coachella that was described as “a cultural moment created from a blend of music, art and food” but instead went left at an alarming rate.

    Instead of getting their chef prepared meals, some festival goers received struggle plates with pieces of bread cheese and wilted salad. Instead of beautiful and majestic eco-friendly domes, attendees were given blow away tents. There were angry locals, thrown luggage, minimal lighting, stolen property, and some people who paid didn’t even make it to the island because the island was at capacity. Tents were on fire, people were fighting, and phones were dying.

    Today’s main focus was getting everyone off of the island. Tickets were between $2,000 and $12,000 so the internet had no sympathy when it came to clowning these rich people who most likely hopped on the phone to call daddy who I’m sure is working on a lawsuit right now all though it was announced that refunds will be given out.

    The only people that I feel bad are are the locals for having their peace and quiet disrupted and Ja Rule for taking most of the heat for this madness. Think about it, he’s the main one taking the heat but he isn’t solely responsible for it. The funny thing is Billy MacFarland is only around 25-years-old but he is known for scamming rich kids by building this club for “elite” millenials but the club isn’t delivering on its promises.

    Both Ja Rule and Billy released statements. Ja Rule said the festival was not a scam and he’s not sure how conditions declined so fast but he is sorry about it. Billy on the other hand announced that there will be refunds and, are you ready for this, he will be sure to get things right next year.
    If these same people get on a plane and do the same thing next year and get stuck again, the internet will deservedly have double the laughs. What was your favorite tweet about the #fyrefestival? Mine was “Help me, I’m rich and stuck in the Bahamas.”

  • McDonald’s Getting Rid of Hi-C Orange?

    Say it ain’t so! McDonald’s is removing Hi-C Orange from the drink menu. The change will be beginning on Monday May 1st and by July, it will be like they never offered that selection. McDonald’s recently just told us the secret to why their Coca-Cola is so delicious, but it seems like they only revealed that secret because they knew they were about to hit us right in the childhood with the new change. There is one question that is on everyone’s mind which is “Why would you get rid of Hi-C Orange Lavaburst?”

    Well, McDonalds is in the process of making a few changes actually. They are removing this fan-favorite flavor in order to make room for a new option called Sprite TropicBerry. I admit the flavor does sound very enticing but it seems like it’s just a fruit flavored version of Sprite. What about the non-soda drinkers? We still have Fruitopia and Blue Powerade but it won’t be the same.

    In addition to the disheartening news, McDonalds has rolled out a prototype of their new uniforms which you can see below. People on social media are quite frightened by the new look because of it’s different variations of gray and boxed patterns and reminds them of Star Wars.

    Recently the fast food chain has tested out different sized Bic Macs, but the chain hasn’t been the same since they completely removed the dollar menu. Personally, I think it hasn’t been the same since they took the cookies out of the Happy Meals! Do they still even give out toys in the Happy Meals?   • Kyyngg Challenge – Videos

    The Kyyngg Challenge started after Lil Marcuz chased Kyyngg through the parking lot of Lenox Mall.  Kyyngg is a New Orleans rapper who has been calling out numerous rappers.  He recently claimed that he’s better than Young Thug.  Kyyngg has been trying to get Drake’s attention but the Toronto rapper continue to ignores him.

His friend then goes crazy on him.  22 Savage pulls a Get Out and sprints away as fast as he can.  Kyyngg asked for this one.  He’s been claiming to be tough and someone finally pulled his card.

  • Kyyngg Net Worth – Running, Gay?

    Kyyngg’s net worth is $120,000.  He was seen running at Lenox Mall.  Chicago rapper, Lil Marcuz chased him through the parking lot.  Despite rumors, Kyyngg is not gay.  Now that the rapper has been exposed, he should apologize to Drake and his mom for pretending to be tough.  The video at the end of this article proves that Kyyngg is not about that life.

    Kyyngg initially mistakes Lil Marcuz for a fan.  Marcuz gets his camera ready and we see Kyyngg throwing up gang signs.  Marcuz then starts screaming at Kyyngg and Kyyngg takes off running.  Marcuz stops filming but then takes his phone back out to record Kyyngg running through the parking lot.

  • Lourdes, Reginae Carter – Jumped? Fight

    Reginae Carter and Lourdes Rodriguez were involved in a fight at Clark Atlanta University.  Despite the rumors, Reginae and Lourdes did not get jumped.  Reginae and Lourdes were both members of The OMG Girlz.  The ladies were leaving an event when some drunk girls approached them.  One of the girls pulled Lourdes’ sweater.

    Earlier that day, Reginae’s mother, Toya Wright, shared a pic on Instagram showing her and Reginae touring Clark Atlanta University.  Lil Wayne won’t want his baby girl to attend Clark after the incident.  Scroll to the Twitter video to see Reginae and Lourdes’ fight.

    While Reginae isn’t being bullied, she should really think about what happened.  She’s the daughter of an entertainer, making her a target.  Clark probably isn’t the right school for her.  Reginae should go to a smaller school that is less popular.  Reginae is too young to take the incident seriously and her parents won’t want to ruin her college experience by choosing a school for her.

    Entertainers should take notes and start devising a plan.  Time flies.  Blue Ivy and North West will be visiting college before you know it.  What will Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye and Kim do?

  • Tinashe On Empire

    Tinashe appeared on episode 14 of Empire‘s third season, “Love Is A Smoke.” Hakeem is in the studio with Tory (Rumer Willis) and Tiana (Serayah McNeill) when Jamal comes in with Tinashe.  Hakeem is currently in a relationship with Tiana but he couldn’t take his eyes off Tinashe.  Hakeem asks Jamal, “Who’s this caramel macchiato right here?” when he sees Tinashe.

    Hakeem asks Tinashe if she wants to have some drinks but she says no because she’s busy working with Jamal.  Tinashe explains that she’s helping Jamal with his visual album.  Jamal was planning to include Cookie and Angelo at the end of the album.  Angelo told Jamal that he was planning to propose to Cookie but they ended up breaking up moments after he tried to put a ring on it.

  • Semaj Crosby – Mother, Found In Couch, 309 Louis Rd Joliet IL

    Semaj Crosby is the 1-year-old who was found at 309 Louis Rd. in Joliet, IL.  Semaj’s mother was being investigated for neglect.  Semaj’s dead body was found in the couch of the home.  Joliet Township is in Will County, an hour away from Chicago.  It’s currently unclear how she died.  Crosby disappeared on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

    Semaj’s family reported that she was missing at 6:30 PM on Wednesday.  Three hours earlier, investigators from the Department of Children and Family Services saw Semaj at her house on Louis Rd.  Authorities were seen taking two garbage bags into custody.  Members of her family were working on a car in the driveway while Semaj was playing, with several other kids, in the front yard.

    Royce Reed

    Royce Reed is a former NBA dancer and the mother of Dwight’s son, Braylon.  She danced for the Miami Heat and the Orlando Magic.  You most likely remember her from seasons 1-4 of Basketball Wives.  In 2013, Royce posted the names of all Dwight’s baby mamas.  Royce and Dwight now have a great relationship.  Royce congratulated him after him and Christine Vest welcomed a baby boy.

  • Who Is Barkley Hendricks? Empire – Art, Paintings

    Barkley Hendricks was a painter whose work appeared on the Empire TV show.  Sadly, he passed away on April 18, 2017.  His oil painting, “Lawdy Mama” was featured in the second season of Empire.  Hendricks is best known for his life-sized paintings of Black people in empowered depictions.

    The Black Power Movement gave African Americans confidence in the 1960s.  There weren’t many paintings that showed Blacks in positions of power.  Hendricks filled that void by creating paintings that celebrated Blacks.   Hendricks’ contributions helped make the Empire TV show possible.  He paved the way for today’s Black artists and entertainers.

    Lee Daniels and Danny Strong have done a wonderful job creating a platform for Black painters.  Some of the most important Black artists of all time have work on the walls of Lucious’ mansion.  This work may not receive the attention it deserves without Empire.  The series continues to break down barriers and we’re loving every second of it.  Barkley Hendricks was a pioneer and we will never forget his contributions.
