    Emely Peguero – English

    Emely Peguero is the 16-year-old who was found dead in a suitcase.  Her body was found in La Guama, a city in the Dominican Republic.  On August 23, 2017, Peguero went to a doctor’s appointment with her boyfriend, Marlin Martinez.  She never returned from the appointment.  Media outlets report that Marlin paid someone to get rid of her body.

    Martinez confessed to the murder.  Marlin is 21-years-old and will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison.  In 1966, the Dominican Republic abolished the death penalty.  Peguero was five months pregnant.  This incident reminds us how precious life is.  Live each day like it is your last because tomorrow is not promised.

    The tweet below explains that Martinez told his mother what happened.  Another important lesson we can learn from this tragedy is self-control.  You must learn to manage your temper or it could lead you to jail.  Domestic violence must not be tolerated.  If you’re in an abusive relationship, seek the help you need to get out of it.

    Emely was only 16 and Martinez was 21.  They both should have had long lives to live but Emely’s life was stolen from her and Martinez will most likely spend the rest of his life in jail.

    Who Is Angela Simmons Mom? Valerie Vaughn

    Angela Simmons’ mom, Valerie Vaughn, has made multiple appearances on Growing Up Hip Hop.  Valerie was married to Angela’s father, Joseph Simmons aka Rev Run from 1983 to 1992.  Valerie and Rev Run got divorced after he was accused of rape.  On February 23, 1992, a judge dismissed the charges.

     

    Rev Run’s accuser was a 22-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio.  The case was dismissed because of the accuser’s lack of evidence.  Although Joseph didn’t rape his accuser, he admitted to sleeping with her.  As a result, Valerie filed for divorce.  Valerie and Rev Run have three children together: Vanessa, Angela and Jojo.

    In the fourth episode of Growing Up Hip Hop‘s second season, we see Angela and her mom shopping for baby clothes.  Valerie is very excited about her daughter’s pregnancy and anxious to find out the sex of the baby.  When Angela makes her wait, Valerie threatens to purchase boys’ and girls’ baby clothing.

    Angela finally reveals that she’s expecting a baby boy and Valerie’s super excited.  This isn’t Valerie’s first grandchild.  On September 9, 2014, Vanessa Simmons welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Ava Marie.  Two years later, Jojo welcomed his adorable daughter, Mia Kaylee.  Angela welcomed her cute little guy in September of 2016.

    Valerie was seen in a recent episode of Growing Up Hip Hop.  Her daughters, Angela and Daryan have been working on their relationship.  Daryan claims that Angela was mean to her when they were younger.  Angela doesn’t deny it but she’s ready to make things right.  Angela apologizes to Daryan and invites her to be in her show in New York.
