Candice Little and Michaela Pearson are the women in Winston Salem who shared a video on Facebook showing kids smoking weed. They have been charged with felony child abuse and 3 counts of contributing to delinquency to a minor.
Fox 8 reports that Pearson is 21 and Little is 18. Police learned about the incident via Facebook and worked with child protective services to find everyone involved.
The News and Observer explains that police believe that the substance being smoked in the video is marijuana because one of the suspects says “don’t be wasting my weed.” The youngest child was 18 months old and the other two children were 2 and 3-years-old.
