Last week’s episode of Empire was pretty heavy: Jamal caught his boyfriend Michael cheating on him, Andre got baptized, Cookie almost got robbed, Lucious stormed out of church, and Hakeem got kidnapped to top it all off. He was going for a jog and then literally had a bag over his head and was dragged into a mysterious van. Crazy stuff, but who did it?
Well, there are plenty of suspects to look at — shall we go over them?
Lucious – a.k.a. Lyon Dynasty enemy No. 1. Hakeem and Lucious are no longer are good terms with each other and since his plan to steal Cookie’s masters failed, why not steal one of her actual artists? He does, however, deny any involvement in this in the promo for the next episode, but we shall see.
Frank and/or Freda Gathers – Maybe Frank isn’t as dead as we all think. Or perhaps Freda holds a bigger grudge than she lets on. Eye for an eye, right?
Those YouTube Hooligans That Robbed Tiana – In the promo for the next episode, it looks like whoever took Hakeem is facetiming with Lucious and Cookie. Who else do we know who has video skills? Oh right, those awful people on YouTube who robbed Tiana and posted some videos about it.
Laura’s Ex – She’s the new singer for Hakeem’s girl band Mirage a Trois, but what do we know about her past? Does she have a possessive ex who doesn’t want her branching out?
Chase the Rolling Stone photographer – That dude was creepy and a weird free spirit. You never know.
