Who Plays Nessa On Empire? Sierra A. McClain |
Actress and singer, Sierra A. McClain plays Nessa on Empire. Nessa is Shine’s (Xzibit) artist who has a beautiful voice. Lucious Lyon doesn’t like talent that he doesn’t control so he’ll do anything to sign her. Lucious’ determination will most likely cause friction between him and Shine. We’re not sure which character we dislike more between Lucious and Shine!
“I’ll Be Everything”
In episode 12 of Empire‘s third season, “Strange Bedfellows” we hear Nessa deliver her amazing song “I’ll Be Everything.” Scroll to the video at the end of this article to hear the track. In “Strange Bedfellows” we see Andre watch Nessa perform the song before he’s interrupted by Giuliana (Nia Long).

Giuliana has serious plans for her club in Las Vegas and Andre tells her that Nessa could perform at the opening. When Lucious asks Andre about Vegas Andre plays dumb. Later we see Andre and Giuliana meet for a second time. He flirts with her but she reminds him about Nessa and tells him that she wouldn’t mess with another woman’s man. Andre claims that him and Nessa have an understanding.

The McClain family compared to the Lyons
Similar to the Lyon family, McClain became interested in music after watching her father, Michael “MJ” McClain, write and produce songs. While Cookie and Lucious’ boys run the Empire McClain and her sisters prove that three females can also dominate the music industry. We look forward to following Sierra throughout the show’s third season!
