So what happens to Daryl in The Walking Dead!? The character wasn’t included in the comic book, instead he was created for The Walking Dead‘s television series.  In the third episode of the show’s seventh season, we see Daryl finally face his responsibility for the death of Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun).

The episode focused on Daryl’s captivity in Negan’s Saviors’ facility and there was evidence that Dixon will die before the season is over.

Daryl Dixon Actor

Daryl Dixon is played by actor, Norman Reedus.  The 47-year-old was born on January 6, 1969 in Hollywood, Florida.  He’s of Italian, Scottish, English and Irish descent.  His first film role was the 1997 movie, Mimic.  The talented actor is also a model.  In the 1990s he modeled for Prada.

Does Daryl Die In The Walking Dead Comics?

Dixon was not featured in the comic book.  The character was created for the television series.  The show’s writers, Frank Darabont, Charles H. Eglee and Jack LoGiudice, were so impressed with Norman Reedus’ audition that the decided to create a new character for him.

Daryl Dixon Brother, Merle Dixon

Daryl Dixon’s brother is Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker).  Similar to Daryl, he’s not included in the comic version of the franchise.  He was added by writer, Robert Kirkman.  He’s a part of Rick’s group and is constantly testing their morals.

Many fans believe that AMC gave Norman Reedus his own reality series, Ride With Norman Reedus, so he could start his transition off the show.  The first season featured 6 episodes.  AMC recently renewed the series for a second season which will air in 2017.

Daryl Dixon Death

According to spoilers, Dixon will most likely die this season.  Norman Reedus’ recent interviews have all included signs that lead fans to believe that he will die soon.  He has reminded us that no one is safe on the show and any character can die at any time.  We’re guessing the show’s next episode will be his last.
