Yes, Meghan Markle is half black.  Her father is white and her mother is black.  Markle is American and was born in Los Angeles, California.  She’s not Canadian but has lived in Toronto for the last few years to maintain her privacy.  The beautiful actress is now engaged to Prince Harry.  The couple’s marriage will be in Spring 2018.

Meghan Markle’s parents, Doria Radlan and Thomas Markle, are very excited about her engagement. Doria is a yoga instructor and she has a master’s degree in social work.  She divorced Thomas when Meghan was 6-years-old.  Doria is black and some believe Meghan will have to deal with racism.

Meghan’s father, Tom worked as a lighting director.  Tom is of Dutch-Irish origin.  During his time as a lighting director he worked on some of the most popular shows of all-time including Married With Children and General Hospital.  Tom and Doria got married in 1979 but divorced in 1988.  Meghan was born on August 4, 1981.  She was married to Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2013.
