Stephanie Peterson Ferri is the married middle school teacher who was arrested in New Smyrna, Florida. The 26-year-old science teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old and sending him explicit pictures.
Heavy reports that Peterson married firefighter, Brandon Ferri in 2015. The slideshow below includes a pic of Stephanie with Brandon.
On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Peterson was arrested and charged with lewd or lascivious battery and transmission of harmful materials to a minor. Stephanie definitely isn’t the first teacher to be accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student. Last year, Hunter Joanne Day and Andrea Nicole Baber were two of the many educators charged with sexual harassment.

Why do these teachers think they can get away with this crime? There have been numerous educators who have been caught in similar situations yet these criminals still think that they won’t get caught.

The 14-year-old told his parents about his inappropriate relationship with Stephanie. He explained that she would pick him up from his house around 11 PM and they would spend hours together. The incident reminds us to maintain a close relationship with our teenagers.
