People reports that Chynna died at her house in Philadelphia. Her manager, John Miller explains that “Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.”
Chynna’s rise to fame began when she was only 14-years-old. She landed a deal with the Ford Models agency after being discovered at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.
Initially, Rogers dreamed to work behind-the-scenes in the music industry but those plans changed after she met A$AP Yams, one of the founders of the A$AP Mob. She reached out to Yams and they eventually formed a strong friendship. Yams motivated Chynna to rap and his persuasion paid off, helping her become a star in her own right.
Sadly, Yams passed away on January 18, 2015 due to an alleged drug overdose. The image below shows Chynna with Mac Miller, who also passed away after suffering an accidental overdose on September 7, 2018.
The ex-model, whose Instagram name is @chizzyano, has been open about her struggles with opiate addiction. After a stint in rehab, Rogers worked hard to stay drug free. In 2017, she told VIBE that she was three years sober.
Pitchfork reports that Rogers released her EP in case i die first in December of 2019.
