Empire’s most recent episode “Tameness Of A Wolf” proved that Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) can’t get rid of Frank Gathers (Chris Rock). To protect Cookie, Lucious had Gathers murdered while they were locked up. Many of us forgot about Gathers but the Lyon family may have to pay for this one.

Lets take things back to Empire’s first season for those that don’t remember. Frank Gathers was the man that Cookie incriminated in “Dangerous Bonds” by testifying that Gathers murdered an undercover FBI agent.
Frank finds out that Cookie snitched and has a human head mailed to her. Cookie turns to Lucious who saves her life by having Gathers murdered in jail.
In the video above Cookie makes it clear that she does not trust Freda Gatz around her boys. Don’t forget that Freda is from the streets and is not scared to resort to violence. Lucious and Cookie sold drugs for Frank Gathers (Chris Rock) and Cookie finds out that Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) is Gathers’ daughter. It’s looking more and more like Freda could have been the one that pushed Rhonda down the stairs as revenge for Lucious killing her father.

Rock’s character was actually playing a cannibal. In the scene that shows Gathers interrogating Cookie’s cousin, Lee Daniels wanted Gathers to be eating human flesh yet the scene was too much for Fox.
