Anika Leaving Empire? Grace “Boo Boo Kitty” Gealey (SPOILERS)

Is Anika Calhoun leaving Empire? She’ll continue to appear on the Fox series for at least two more Wednesdays.  The summaries for the next two episodes mention her name.  Grace Gealey aka Grace Byers or “Boo Boo Kitty” is constantly going through hard times on the series.  Lucious’ brother, Tariq, is the latest character to threaten her.

Tariq tells Anika it’s time to start snitching

Anika panics after Tariq threatens her.  Lucious’ mother, Leah, hates Boo Boo Kitty.  Leah tells Tariq that Anika knows things and she can’t be trusted.  Lucious told his mother that he was getting rid of Anika but instead, he gave her a job.  Tariq stops Anika on the street and tells her it’s time to start talking.  He asks about Frank Gathers and Anika explains that she knows who he was but she never met him.

Tariq names numerous other people and then gives Anika a subpoena.  He warns her that once Lucious finds out, he’ll make sure she disappears.  Tariq advises her to accept the government’s protection.  Anika begs Tariq not to do this to her.  He can care less about her feelings.  He tells her to go home and act like nothing is wrong.  Tariq tells Anika that he’ll pick her and Bella up the next day.

Anika gives baby Bella to Hakeem

Anika doesn’t listen to Tariq’s demands.  Instead, she meets up with Hakeem and gives him Bella.  Anika tells Bella that she loves her but she has to make this sacrifice.  Hakeem is upset and explains that he was on his way to dress rehearsal.  Anika tells Hakeem to take Bella because she has to go somewhere.

Hakeem tells Anika to call Juanita and Anika explains that Juanita is not Bella’s father.  She tells him that she needs him to step up and keep Bella safe.  Hakeem asks what time she’ll pick Bella up and Anika says that she’ll call him.

Suspicions about Anika’s motives put the Lyons on alert

In the next two episodes of Empire, we’ll see Anika try to hide information from Lucious.  The Empire CEO can smell a snitch from a mile away and Anika’s looking suspicious.  Cookie also starts questioning Anika’s actions so the future is not looking bright for Boo Boo Kitty.  What do you think she’ll do?
