Antoine Edwards of New Orleans is the suspect who was arrested in connection to the murders of Toya Wright’s brothers. Toya’s brothers, Ryan and Joshua Johnson, were murdered on July 31, 2016.
Toya was relieved to hear the news. Many murders in New Orleans go unsolved. “Snitching” in New Orleans is very dangerous, making it difficult for cops to do their jobs.
Toya has thanked everyone for their prayers and helping identify the suspect. Edwards was booked in New Orleans on Thursday. Antoine is known by his nicknames: Tweezy aka Toine. As you know, Toya was in a relationship with Lil Wayne aka Weezy before his fame. They have a 18-year-old daughter named Reginae Carter.

Reginae was very close to her Uncle Rudy:
In the Instagram post above, Reginae tells Rudy that she called him the night before. He was her best friend and she couldn’t believe he was gone. Ryan “Rudy” Johnson was only 24 when he was murdered and Joshua was 31.
The Advocate explains that Rudy and Joshua were in a SUV on Pauger Street when they were shot to death. Witnesses told detectives that Antoine committed the murder. Multiple witnesses picked him out of a photo line-up. The warrant explains that police were able to determine that Toine was in the area at the time of the incident and was the shooter.
Antoine was born on March 22, 1985. He turns 32 in a week and he’ll celebrate his birthday behind bars. Toine’s bond was set at $500,000. He had his second court date on March 7, 2017. Edwards arrest is for only one count of second-degree murder, implying that a second person may have been involved.
