Bailey McLaren is the bully from Huddersfield, England seen in the video below. The clip went viral on social media. It shows Bailey waterboarding a Syrian refugee named Jamal. Bailey first tackles him to the ground and then throws water on his face. “I’ll drown you.”
Bailey shared the following pic of himself on Facebook back in 2017:
The Independent reports that the incident occurred at a high school in Huddersfield. Bailey is 16 and Jamal is 15. The West Yorkshire Police reveal that McLaren has been charged with assault.
LADbible explains that the video has been watched more than 100,000 times on Facebook. The video was recorded at Almondbury Community School located in West Yorkshire, England. The tweet below advises people to contact the school to help get Bailey convicted:
The incident was horrible but the outpouring of sympathy has been great. Social media can be used to help stop bullying and this is a prime example. The following GoFundMe campaign shows that more than $150,000 has been raised for Jamal:
A police car has been parked outside of Jamal’s family’s house because they don’t feel safe. Pray for Jamal and his family.
