When Amy found out about Evelyn she was most likely very upset.  Freeman decided to move to California to take advantage of the state’s child support laws.  She sold the home Carl purchased, leading the former baseball player to sue.  The judge sided with Amy, allowing her to keep the money she made from the sale.  Cheaper to keep her!
