    Cookie of Empire, Taraji P. Henson, has certainly been busy lately.  The award winning actress was recently honored at the VH1 Big 15 With Entertainment Weekly bash.  Henson accepted her award from actress Debbie Allen who attended Howard University with actress Phylicia Rashad, best known for her role as Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show.

    Cookie of Empire showed us the importance of being thankful, explaining that she would not have been able to finish her education without the Andrew Allen award Rashad and Allen established in honor of their father:

    Earlier this year Jussie Smollett came out as gay on Ellen therefore in reality the amazing actor does not have a wife and most likely never will.  The same may not be true for Jamal Lyon who was previously married to Olivia Lyon and has recently been spotted with his tongue down Skye Summers’ throat!

    Earlier this year Smith’s ex-husband, Keith Douglas accused her of sleeping with other women and he filed a restraining order against her which required Smith to stay at least two yards away from him despite the two living under the same roof at the time.  Just one week later Smith filed a similar restraining order against Douglas, accusing him of having extra marital affairs.

    In 2011 the couple launched the organic perfume company ‘US’.  Smith’s good friend, Tisha Campbell-Martin was one of her character witnesses.  The former couple’s divorce was finalized in March 2015.

    Smith was ordered to pay $7,000 per month in spousal support.  As a part of the settlement Smith got the family Mercedes back.  Prior to the settle, in 2014 a judge made Smith pay Douglas $50,000 in spousal support, up-front, until the two were able to work-out a permanent agreement.

    Sidra Smith worked as a casting director on the movies ‘Flash’ and ‘Playas Ball’.  She also produced ‘Free Angela and All Political Prisoners’ and acted in the 1994 film, ‘Twin Sitters’.
