Uproxx explains that Los Angeles Lakers center, Hyland DeAndre Jordan, Jr. recently teased Carmelo Anthony for being the oldest player on Team USA.  While Mr. Lob City is 28-years-old, Melo is 32.  The age difference may not seem significant but in basketball years it’s a lifetime.


Kobe Bryant’s final years of his career were his worst and he was only 37 when he retired.  Just six years earlier, when he was 31, he led the Los Angeles Lakers to consecutive championships and earned Finals MVP.

While Jordan was joking about Melo’s age, he made a valid point.  The former Syracuse superstar isn’t as young as he used to be.  Make sure you’re following Team USA on social media.  DeAndre Jordan’s Snapchat name is Clippers.  He doesn’t have a personal username but he has appeared on videos posted by his “Snapchat Squad” teammates.  He also appears on the Los Angeles Clippers account, on a consistent basis, throughout the season.  Here’s is the Clippers’ code:

According to The Huffington Post the 6-foot-11 giant was recently seen in an image alongside Ragan Smith, an alternate for the women’s national gymnastics team:

The 15-year-old is only 4-foot-6.  The image reminds us of the following pic of Manute Bol (7′ 7″) and Muggsy Bogues (5′ 3″):
