Fox’s Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution was one huge, star-studded party in Miami, Florida, and one of the highlights — of course — was the performances by Empire stars Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray. The actors/singers performed hits from the TV series multiple times during the night and helped us all ring in 2016, Lyon-style.

Taraji P. Henson introduced Gray’s performance with Timbaland in which they sang “Bout 2 Blow,” a moody tune from Season 2. Next up, Gray and Smollett paired up to sing the fan favorite “You’re So Beautiful” from Season 1, dancing and bouncing all over the stage.
Later on, co-host Wendy Williams awkwardly quizzed Henson about her love life and a potential new love — but Taraji kepted her lips sealed. What a night!
Other performers from the night included Earth Wind and Fire, Pitbull himself, Austin Mahone, Pia Mia, P. Diddy, Shawn Mendes, and many more. But there’s really nothing like spending New Year’s Eve with the Lyons — all we needed was Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Andre (Trai Byers) on stage. Maybe we’ll get that for New Year’s Eve 2017.
