Esteban Santiago’s ethnicity and race is being discussed on social media. Santiago is American. He was born in New Jersey. His parents are both Puerto Rican. Esteban killed five people and injured eight at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport. On Friday, January 7, 2017 at 1 PM, he began shooting random people in a Delta Airlines baggage claim area.
Witnesses report that Santiago was wearing a blue Star Wars shirt. Santiago is a 26-year-old who fought in the Iraq war. The nation’s racial tension is being exposed. This week, the black teens that kidnapped a white Donald Trump supporter made headlines, leading to a heated debate regarding racial double standards.

The FBI sent Santiago to a psychiatric hospital where I think he should have stayed. He cried out for help but didn’t receive it.

CNN used a black and white image of Esteban, in an attempt to reduce the racial tension surrounding the incident.

A Twitter user referred to Santiago as a “white Hispanic” and broke the Internet:
For some reason this guy looks more like a terrorist than a “white Hispanic.” Maybe it’s just me.. #EstebanSantiago #Ftlauderdaleshooting pic.twitter.com/GJ9rbYzY08— Steve Hirsch (@Stevenwhirsch99) January 6, 2017
