Gabriel Taye is the 8-year-old boy from Cincinnati, Ohio who committed suicide. The video at the end of this article shows Gabriel getting beat up by another student. Bullying led Taye to kill himself. Scroll down to see Gabriel’s obituary. He was born on February 21, 2008 and his mother had to bury him 8 short years later.
Gabriel’s story is making headlines because Cincinnati Public School officials just released the video that proves he was being bullied. Suicide is rare amongst kids as young as Gabriel. Anti-bullying legislation is not enough. More must be done to stop bullying. I have witnessed parents teach their children to bully their classmates.

Many parents believe that they’re teaching their kids how to defend themselves but they’re actually teaching them how to create hostile environments. The video below shows a child kicking another child. This is behavior the child was taught. If you don’t understand the difference between teaching your child to defend himself and teaching him how to be a bully, it’s important to seek help.
