Ronald Glen “Big Baby” Davis appears on season 2 of Power Book IV: Force. In episode 5, “Crown Vic” Davis makes his debut as King Kilo, aka “D-Lo.” UPROXX explains that Kilo is locked up at the Southville Prison where Diamond was previously incarcerated.
Similar to Larry Hoover who ran the Gangster Disciples while he was locked up, Kilo is the leader of the RD gang and leads them from Southville Prison. RD ambushed Diamond while at a diner, but he knows Kilo didn’t call for the attack, so he wants to unite his CBI crew with KIlo’s RD gang. Diamond calls Kilo and tells him his plans and Kilo explains that he’ll accept the offer to establish a coalition, if he can get half of the profits CBI earns from selling drugs at Southville.
Diamond tells Tommy that Kilo wants half their business in the joint and Tommy takes the phone from Diamond and hangs up on Kilo. Later in the episode, Tommy changes his mind and tells Diamond that he wants to establish the coalition with Kilo.
The coalition seems loosely based on Larry Hoover’s Folk Nation, which he established in 1978, while incarcerated. Folk Nation is an alliance of several gangs in Chicago, including the Black Disciples and Gangster Disciples. The organization lended aid to any group, in Chicago, that struggled for survival. All gangs agreed to help each other with the protection of their neighborhoods and of their business interests.
