In Empire‘s fifth episode of season 3, “One Before Another” we get another classic track from Hakeem and Jamal Lyon, “Over Everything.” It’s great to hear the duo on another song together. Lucious Lyon isn’t the type of father that makes sure his sons maintain a strong bond. Despite his flaws, the Empire Entertainment music mogul has collaborated with his sons on a couple hit tracks.
On the show’s second season, Terrence Howard, Jussie Smollett and Bryshere Y. Gray teamed up to deliver the track “Chasing The Sky.” Jussie wasn’t only featured on the song he also wrote it. Unforgettable tracks like “Chasing The Sky” has earned the actor, singer and songwriter multiple awards.

Jamal and Lucious hate each other right now, but back in Season 1 they were on the same page. Who can forget their hit song, “Nothing To Lose”!? Terrence was spectacular on his guitar while Jussie showed off on the keyboard.

We can’t wait to see Jamal get his Nothing To Lose swag back and overcome his fear to perform. He hasn’t been the same since being shot by Freda Gatz.
“Over Everything” can be added to Jussie and Bryshere’s greatest hits which will definitely be released one day. The duo has powerful chemistry, similar to Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard.
