TMZ reports that Jennifer Lopez just bought Sela Ward and Howard Sherman’s former home in Bel-Air.  Ward was originally asking for $40 million but Lopez was able to talk her down to $28 million.  Ward and her family are moving to New York.

If you watch television, then you’re most likely familiar with Ward but what about her husband? The couple have been together since 1992 and they have two children.

According to Wharton, he’s a Founder, advisor and/or investor in a diverse collection of companies.  He’s into everything, from medical devices to consumer products.  In 2000, the couple founded Hope Village for Children, a children’s home with a vision to lead each child to a place where hope is born.

According to Parade, Ward met the entrepreneur on a blind date in 1991.  The actress explains that the VC listened and wanted to know her.  He made her feel cherished, unlike the other men she dated prior to Sherman.

Ward was used to anger and chaos in her relationships but being with Sherman was different.  She describes him as kind and funny.  “Even before we kissed, and he’s a great kisser, he had me.”
