She initially had dreams to become a fashion designer but her Armenian father advised her to become a doctor or lawyer. Her story is similar to Angel Brinks from Basketball Wives LA. Achemyan was 5-years-old when she moved to the United States. Her family decided to move in 1992 after the Soviet Union was dissolved.
