Chanel West Coast is not a man. She was born a woman and is still a woman.
Jezebel reports that rapper, Chanel West Coast looked stunning at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. The dress she wore showed off the rapper’s beautiful figure yet there are still rumors being spread that claim she was born a male.
Chanel West Coast’s real name is Chelsea Chanel Dudley. She is a talented rapper and singer who signed to Young Money Entertainment back in 2012. After an image of Minkus from Boy Meets World was shown next to Dudley rumors began to spread about Chelsea being a man.
The rumors are false. Chelsea West Coast is not a man. The most ridiculous part about the rumor is the amount of people that actually believe that it’s true. If the story were true some of the largest media companies in the world would have covered it. Rumors about her being transgender began after the following image was posted.
Chelsea was born on September 1, 1988 in Los Angeles, California. Despite her stage name, she actually spent her childhood on both the East and West Coast. Her mother lived in North Hollywood and her father lived in New York City.
People reports that the former Ridiculousness cast member was arrested last year for an altercation at a Hollywood club. According to TMZ, the 27-year-old got into a fight with someone and then began fighting with security guards when they tried to intervene. Chanel uses Instagram to remind us that she’s a woman on a regular basis:
Similar to Fetty Wap, the rapper attempted to make an all lives matter argument. She claimed that she was brutalized by police officers when she got arrested. There was one thing wrong with her argument: The guys who arrested her actually weren’t police officers, they were security guards.

Chanel West Coast was not born a boy. Lee Norris, the actor who played Minkus on Boy Meets World was born on September 25, 1981. Chanel was born about seven years later on September 1, 1988. The next time you hear someone say that Chanel West Coast was a guy let them know the truth. The singer, rapper and actor was born a female and is still a female.

RIP Big Black
In the post above, Chanel sends a shout out to Big Black. She explains that she’ll never forget the moments they shared and advises him to keep them laughing in Heaven. Sadly, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin passed away on May 9, 2017 due to a heart attack which led to heart failure.
