If you haven’t seen Oprah’s new show Greenleaf, you’re missing out! Vulture reports that the show needs more Lady Mae and less teens. We agree, but the show is still amazing, especially Desiree Ross who plays Sophia, the daughter of Grace (Merle Dandridge). In the words of Jay-Z, a star is born!

Tracee Ellis Ross aka Dr. Rainbow from the ABC comedy series Black-ish is the daughter of Diana Ross. Rainbow’s not the only Dr. in the Ross family. Her Aunt, Barbara Ross-Lee, is a groundbreaking doctor. She joined the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 1984 and has served on numerous committees.

Black America Web reports that the show is a success. Oprah explains that OWN recently celebrated its best week ever thanks to Greenleaf. Winfrey plays Mavis McCready in the scripted drama. this is her first recurring role in 20 years.
The series is about the scandals of a bishop’s family in a Memphis church. Similar to Empire the show doesn’t waste any time getting to the drama. Greenleaf’s first episode featured heated arguments as each character proved that they would not bite their tongue!
