Just Jared Jr explains that Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor aka “Lorde” was recently spotted leaving the Marni boutique on Melrose Place in West Hollywood, California.  We love the 19-year-old singer who showed her support for Kesha during her legal battle against Dr. Luke.  Her, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga all used the hashtag #FreeKesha to let her know that they had her back.

According to MTV rapper Drake recently referred to the talented singer as his wifey.  So what’s up with the rumors that Lorde’s a transgender guy? The rumors started after the singer appeared on South Park as a 45-year-old transgendered geologist.  On the show’s “The Cissy” episode, Randy Marsh reveals that he is actually living a double life as Lorde.

Lorde is not transgender.  She is a female, not a guy.  Some celebrities get upset when they appear on a series like South Park but she supported the character.  She used Twitter and Instagram to explain how cute she thought the character was.  Moreover, the New Zealand native explained that the episode featured an important message about transgender acceptance.
On the show, Randy decided to create the alter ego because he wanted to use the women’s bathroom.  The episode foreshadowed issues our society is currently facing.  The NBA recently pulled the All-Star Game from Charlotte, North Carolina to protest a law that bars transgender people from using bathrooms in public buildings that do not correspond with their birth.
