The rumor that Toni Braxton is dead is false. Essence reports that the talented 48-year-old singer spent several days at a hospital being treated for lupus. She announced that she had the disease back in 2010. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. Toni’s brother, Michael, Jr. also has the disease.
According to Vibe the Maryland native is currently resting at home and is excited to start rehearsing for her upcoming tour. Sadly, she had to cancel a few of her upcoming tour dates. She was scheduled to perform at Oakland’s Paramount Theatre on Saturday, October 8 yet she cancelled the tour date.

Toni is one of the hardest workers in the industry. Her condition could be telling her to slow down. She has been active since 1989 and became one of the best-selling female artist of the 1990s. We love you Toni and hope you feel better!
