Jay-Z never sold crack to his mother but he did shoot his brother.  In the song “You Must Love Me” from Jay-Z’s In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 album, he gives his mother a shout out for motivating him.  The rapper then says, “What I do? I turned around and sold you crack.” He explains that he wasn’t talking about his mother.  The lyric was a metaphor for all the mothers he sold crack to when he was a drug dealer.

In “You Must Love Me” Jay-Z also discusses shooting his own brother: “Saw the devil in your eyes, high off more than weed, confused, I just closed my young eyes and squeezed.” When Jay was 12 his older brother, Eric stole his ring.  Jay was furious so he went to a friend’s house to get a gun.  Jay shot Eric in his shoulder.

Eric was addicted to crack.  When Jay-Z visited Eric at the hospital, Eric apologized to Jay for his crack addiction.  Eric refused to press charges.  The Carter brothers still joke about the incident but it was far from funny when it happened.  Jay knew he made a serious mistake and thought his life was over.

We think that’s all Jay’s secrets but the screenshot below shows that there might be more.  MTO claims that the rapper will be the next entertainer to be exposed for his scandalous ways.  Multiple women recently exposed Russell Simmons so I’m hoping Jay’s safe.
