TMZ reports that rapper, Jay Wayne Jenkins aka Young Jeezy was recently hosting a birthday bash in Virginia Beach when someone was murdered. The police responded to a call to Club Embassy for a shooting yet the suspects are still at large. When officers arrived at the club, they discovered the victim, who was dead on the club’s floor.
According to Daily Mail Club Embassy has a history of shootings. The incident shows the power of social media: A video was posted on Snapchat which shows someone attempting to give the man CPR as the man laid dead on the dance floor. The victim is Demetrius “Yang” Darnell McCloud:
Similar to the shooting that occurred at T.I.’s concert a few months ago, the rapper should not be blamed for the incident. There should be walk through metal detectors at these events which are not unique to hip-hop concerts. The Orlando night club shooting may have been prevented if metal detectors were present.
Singer, Christina Grimmie, also passed away in Orlando after being shot. She was greeting fans at the time. When entertainers have fan greetings the fans should have to go through metal detectors before they are able to make contact with the entertainer. These incidents are happening far too often and we must do anything possible to prevent them.
