The following tweet explains that the president is calling the incident a mental health problem instead of a gun problem. Donald Trump has made his support of the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms, very clear.
OMFG Trump just said TX was a mental health problem not a gun problem. Guess I’ll get my thoughts/prayers ready for the next mass shooting.— PSU Blaze (@PSU_Blaze) November 6, 2017
One of President Trump’s criteria for appointing a Supreme Court Judge is the individual’s support of the Second Amendment. He appointed Neil Gorsuch who has shown that he’s more intolerant of gun regulation than Antonin Scalia.
Trump is right that the Texas shooting was a mental health issue. Any country that would allow that man to have automatic weapons is crazy.— John Johnsonson (@JohnJohnsonson) November 6, 2017
Trump has kept his promises to law-abiding gun owners but now his back is up against the wall. Two of the nation’s deadliest shootings have occurred within about a month of each other and innocent children have lost their lives.
Trump has called the nation’s mental health issues a crisis and he’s blaming the shooting on Devin Kelley’s mental illness. Are these mass shootings occurring because of the nation’s gun laws or is it the nation’s mental health crisis? There’s no right answer because it’s both.
