Wiley borrows from the old, with most of his works featuring beautiful vintage floral wallpaper backgrounds. He uses the old to create his beautiful new masterpieces that feature rappers, athletes and even kids off the street.

Kehinde Wiley Brooklyn Museum
Kehinde Wiley’s Brooklyn Museum exhibition featured works that raised questions involving race, gender and the politics of representation. ‘A New Republic‘ was on display from February 2015 to May 2015. In the following video, Wiley discusses the exhibition:
