Eyewitness News reports that detectives are attempting to track down the suspects behind the deadly shooting of Lee Kendra Childs. The drive-by shooting occurred on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 on the 5300 block of South Lake Houston Parkway. Witnesses told police that they saw a newer model Camaro, with tinted windows, drive by the house and fire multiple shots.
According to Click 2 Houston the shooting took place at the Uvalde Ranch Apartments. Kendra’s family identified her body. She was only 19-years-old and has a beautiful 2-year-old daughter. Childs was murdered one day before her 20th birthday. Here’s a picture of Childs and her little one:

According to police, the shooter never entered the apartment building; instead they stood outside while shooting into the second level apartment. The victim’s boyfriend found her dead when he arrived home. Gun violence continues to be one of this nation’s most serious problems and something must be done.

The hashtag #ripKendra was trending on Twitter as her friends and family members mourned Tuesday afternoon. According to the victim’s friends, a female with the Twitter handle “@___ladykocaine” is the person who killed Kendra. The screenshot above shows that she plotted the murder.
Kendra may be gone but she will never be forgotten. We love you. RIP
