Malik Halfacre is the 25-year-old who shot Jeanettrius Moore and multiple members of her family over a stimulus check. The Grio reports Halfacre murdered 4 members of Moore’s family in Indianapolis. Malik is the father of Jeanettrius’ youngest child.

According to the The New York Post, a day before Halfacre shot Moore and killed 4 of her family members, Halfacre told Moore that he wanted half of her $1400 stimulus check. Moore refused to give Halfacre half but offer him $450.
On the day of the incident, Halfacre went to Moore’s house and started searching her purse for money. Daquan Moore, Jeanettrius’ brother, tried to stop Halfacre but he was unable to calm him down. Moments later, Halfacre shot and killed 23-year-old Daquan Moore, Jeanettrius’ 7-year-old daughter, Eve, Jeanettrius’ 44-year-old mother, Tomeeka Brown and Jeanettrius’ 35-year-old cousin, Anthony Johnson.

Moore worked hard at a beauty supply shop and planned to use her stimulus check to catch up on some bills. Halfacre also demanded some of Moore’s tax return and lost control when Moore refused to give him the amount he demanded.
