Matt Pryce is the father of Nevaeh, Valerie Fairman’s daughter. David Pryce is Matthew’s uncle who dated Valerie in 2013. Although Matthew is Nevaeh’s father, Valerie’s mother has custody of Nevaeh.
Valerie and Matt appeared on season 2 of 16 and Pregnant. Fairman sadly passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.
Last year, David revealed that Valerie never spends time with her daughter. He explained that Matt was trying to get full custody of Nevaeh. On Valerie’s episode of 16 and Pregnant, we saw Matt having difficulties accepting fatherhood. Despite his initial feelings Matthew has been in Nevaeh’s life.

We should all learn from Valerie’s mistakes. She reminds us that drug addiction ruins families. People who abuse drugs cannot be relied on. Valerie was unable to focus on her daughter because of her addiction. When a person is addicted to drugs they lie, cheat and steal to buy more drugs.
Hopefully the tragedy will motivate Matt to be the best father he can be. In the end, Nevaeh will cherish her father for the time he spent with her. He has explained that he wants his life to be perfect before he tried to get custody of his daughter. Life’s too short to wait for perfection. All Nevaeh wants is her daddy.
