Two-time Grammy Award winner, Melanie Fiona has an adorable son named Cameron Lincoln Cotter. Her baby father is singer, Jared Cotter. He was born on June 17, 1981 and is currently 35-years-old. While Fiona was born in Toronto, Canada, Jared was born and raised in New York on Long Island.
Bella Naija reports that the couple welcomed their son on March 14, 2016. Similar to Fiona, Cotter is a talented songwriter. He co-wrote Jay Sean’s number 1 debut single “Down.” Melanie lived in a music-filled household, helping her to become the successful artist she is today. Her father was a guitarist. When she was young, her father would let her sit on the stage while he performed with his band.

Similar to Fiona, Cotter comes from a music-filled household. His father played with guitarist, Nile Rodgers and bass player, Bernard Edwards. Jared’s great grandfather was legendary jazz bandleader, James Reese Europe, the first black jazz player to perform at Carnegie Hall. Cotter started his recording career when he was only 15 while Fiona began writing songs when she was 16-years-old.
The couple’s son, Cameron is destined to be a talented singer when he grows up. He was born to a family of musicians and we can’t wait to see if he’ll carry on the legacy!
