Naomi Campbell daughter’s name on Star is Ryan Destiny. In reality, Campbell does not have any children. On Star, Naomi plays Rose Spencer, while Ryan plays her daughter, Alexandra “Alex” Crane. Rose and Alex don’t get along. A flashback in episode 2, “The Devil You Know” explains why Alex hates her mom.
A younger Alex was seen dancing to the 1990 hit “Groove Is In The Heart” by the band, Deee-Lite. She is in a limousine with her father, Roland Crane, a famous rock star. Then, Alex’s mother enters the limo and ruins the mood. Rose tells her daughter to stop acting like a monkey. Alex believes that she should be allowed to dance since she has seen her mother and father dancing.

Other directors would have refused to cast Naomi Campbell on Star. Empire and Star crossover and Campbell’s character on Empire, Camilla Marks, was murdered by Lucious Lyon.

Lee Daniels is all about making things work. He loves working with Naomi Campbell so he ignored the fact that her character was murdered on Empire.
