On the last episode of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood we meet Princess Love’s mother. Princess opens up to her about how she feels about her dad. She also advises her daughter not to get a prenup but Princess’ mind is already made up. She wants to protect herself by getting a prenup.

Later in the episode Princess finds out that Ray J was able to get her father, Hugh Love, to the wedding. They decide to forget the past so they can improve their relationship.

Princess Love has opened up about her relationship with her parents on season 3 of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. When her husband, Ray J, is too busy to help her plan their wedding, Princess is reminded of the way that her father abandoned her when she was young. Her and her father have not spoken in over a year and she doesn’t think he’ll be willing to walk her down the aisle.
In episode 8, “Forgive or Forget” we see Princess trying on wedding dresses. She explains that she didn’t want to invite Ray J’s mother, Sonja, nor his sister, Brandy, because it would have made her sad about her own mother not being there. Ray J surprises Princess by showing up with her grandma, Barbara:

Princess is very surprised and excited to see her grandmother. Barbara tells her granddaughter that her father wanted to let her know how much he loves her. Princess reveals that she hasn’t spoken to her father in over a year and prior to that she didn’t speak to him for about 10 years. Princess’ relationship with her mother has improved over the years. In the tweet below the Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star reveals that her mother is Filipino. Princess further explains that her mom is from Angeles City, an urbanized city in the Philippines bordered by Mexico.

Princess’ grandmother reveals that her father wants to be at the wedding. He doesn’t want anyone to take his place. Princess hopes that her wedding will help her repair her relationship with her father.
