Star, Ryan Destiny – Age, Ethnicity, Bio, Father, Mother

Ryan Destiny plays Alexandra “Alex” Crane on Fox’s Star TV show.  She was born on January 8, 1995 and is currently 21-years-old.  On Star, she plays a 20-year-old who is rich.  Her father, Roland Crane, is played by Lenny Kravitz.  Similar to Jude Demorest who plays Star in the series, Destiny is from Detroit, Michigan aka “The D.”

If you thought Lee Daniels was playing, you got another thing coming! Fox has given the director some wiggle room and he is doing the most, in a good way.

Ryan Destiny’s Mother – Dawn Irons

Ryan was in a girl group before her appearance on Star.  When she was 12, her and two friends formed a trio.  The group, New Limit, was managed by Destiny’s mother, Dawn Irons.  In 2011 they made it to the third round of America’s Got Talent.

On Star, Ryan Destiny’s mother, Rose Spencer, is played by actress, Naomi Campbell.  Destiny and Campbell look very similar, leading many to believe that Ryan was Naomi Campbell’s child in real life.  Campbell doesn’t have any kids in real life.  Ryan’s real mother is from Detroit, Michigan.

Ryan Destiny’s Father

Ryan’s father, Deron Irons, was a former member of the 90s R&B group Guesss.  Check out the group’s song, “Shu-B” in the video below:
