Tyrese Gibson is mad at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In the Instagram post below, Tyrese warns The Rock that if he moves forward with the Hobbs movie then The Rock ignored the heart to heart moment he had with Tyrese. Dwayne Johnson played Luke Hobbs in 2011’s Fast Five, 2013’s Fast and Furious 6, 2015’s Furious 7 and 2017’s The Fate of the Furious.
Johnson will play Hobbs in the Fast and Furious spin-off which will feature Jason Statham. Tyrese isn’t feeling the spin-off and clearly had a conversation with Johnson about it. The Rock is most likely trying to please too many people but that never works. Dwayne will have to man up and tell Tyrese he has to do what’s best for his family.

Tyrese is a very popular actor but he hasn’t reached Will Smith status. An actor like Will Smith has enough power to make someone like The Rock refuse to do a film. Tyrese will most likely have Fast and Furious fans on his side. A petition will most likely be created and Gibson could get his way.
Tyrese has to learn to move on and stop living in the past. First he tried to force a Baby Boy sequel and now this. While I would love to see a Baby Boy sequel, I wouldn’t want Tyrese to try to sabotage the film if he wasn’t included. The Friday sequels were just fine without Chris Tucker. Mike Epps got an opportunity to shine and Tucker’s career took off thanks to Rush Hour.
