The singer joined Iyanla Vanzant’s House of Healing to discuss being abandoned by Boyz to Men after two decades of success. The 44-year-old explains that his former group members turned their backs on him and they no long talk to each other. After being forced to leave the group in 2003, McCary was due to make a return in 2011.

Michael’s 2011 return never panned out. Negotiations between him and the group broke down, explaining why “Bass” turned to Iyanla for healing. He was forced out the group due to health problems and then he was unable to negotiate a contract that worked for him and the group. That’s enough bad luck to make anyone lose their temper.
