The family wishes to maintain some privacy by not revealing their real last name. Initially, Jazz’s parents used fake first names: Scott and Renee. Their real names are Greg and Jeanette. According to Time, Jennings knew that she was a girl trapped in a boy’s body from the moment that she was able to form coherent thoughts.
Jazz was born on October 6, 2000 and has one sister and two brothers: Ari, Sander and Griffen. People reports that the family has come together as they plan for a potentially risky surgery.
Her parents have made it clear that she was set on being a female as soon as she was able to speak. She began her transition at the age of five. Her show reveals some of the unique experiences she has been through with her family and friends since announcing her transition.
