Eric Justen, Queen Sugar‘s Emmy-nominated re-recording mixer, died in August 2016 after suffering a heart attack. At the end of episode 11 of the show’s first season, “All Good” the credits opened wit “In loving Memory of Eric Justen.” He was in his early 40s and is best known for his work on the AMC crime series, Breaking Bad.

Sadly, 2016 has been very difficult for DuVernay. Her father, Murray Mae, passed away in March 2016.

Justen began his career in the early 1990s. His amazing work on The Fast and Furious will never be forgotten along with his work on The Good Wife and Pretty Little Liars.

He was at the LAX Airport, on his way to visit his grandmother to celebrate her 100th birthday when he passed away. Justen passed away on August 11, 2016, two weeks before his 44th birthday.
