Who Is Haitian Jack To Tupac? Still Alive?

Haitian Jack is still alive and was recently seen in the Dominican Republic.  He was a hip-hop promoter and manager who worked with Tupac.  He was born, Jacques Agnant in Haiti in 1963.  His family moved to Brooklyn, New York from Haiti after Haiti’s president, Jean-Claude Duvalier was overthrown in 1986.

In 1993, one of Jack’s associates introduced him to Tupac.  They were at The Octagon nightclub in Manhattan and Pac was impressed with Jack because he had tons of women with him and he was wearing expensive jewelry.  Tupac started partying with Jack on a regular basis.  Tupac played Birdie in Above The Rim and based the character off Haitian Jack.

Did Haitian Jack set Tupac up?

Haitian had celebrity friends, like Madonna, and he spent thousands on Pac.  The rapper was building a strong bond with Jack but in November of 1993, things changed.  Pac and Jack were charged with rape and their cases were divided so Pac was convinced that Jack was a government informant who set him up.

Pac told Daily News reporter, A.J. Benza that he believed Jack set him up and Benza included Pac’s statement in a story he published a few days later.  The story also explained that Mike Tyson warned Pac about Haitian Jack.  The following pic shows Tyson with Jack:

Haitian Jack: Stick up artist who targeted drug dealers

When Jack got to Brooklyn from Haiti he only spoke French and got into fights on a regular basis.  Jack eventually got tired of being bullied so he became a criminal.  He started robbing drug dealers and eventually formed a gang, Black Mafia, which included Walter “King Tut” Johnson.

Did Walter “King Tut” Johnson shoot Tupac at Quad Studios?

In the video at the end of this article, Haitian Jack is asked about Tupac being shot at the Quad Recording Studios in 1994.  Jack explains that Pac was shot because of the statement he made to A.J. Benza that was published in the Daily News.

Jack says that members of his gang wanted revenge of Pac but he claims that he told them not to do anything.  Many believe that King Tut shot Pac at the Quad Studios.  The following pic shows Mike Tyson visiting Tut in jail.  Tut is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole at Lewisburg Penitentiary in Pennsylvania.

Cory Hardict plays Haitian Jack in the Tupac movie, All Eyez On Me

In Tupac’s biopic, All Eyez On Me, Haitian Jack’s character is represented by “Nigel” who is played by Cory Hardict.  He was born on November 9, 1979 in Chicago.  In 2008, he married actress, Tia Mowry.  Their son, Cree Taylor Hardict was born on June 28, 2011.  The couple is currently expecting their second child together.  In the following video, Cory compares Tupac to Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
